Katherine Heigl has opened up about how she was born into a "white bubble" and how this realization has affected how she raises her adoptive multiracial children. In the latest episodes of "Firefly Lane", "Grey's Anatomy" as well as "Grey's Anatomy", star Katherine Heigl admitted that she didn't care about her skin tone, until she met her adopted sister from South Korea. "I inquired of Meg how she was different when she went out with us parents than when she went out on her own. She responded "Oh yes! All the time!" This made me realize I was naive," Heigl said to parents. She admitted to becoming frustrated, but decided to channel that energy to help her adopted daughters. Heigl has a son who is 4 years and Josh Kelley, her husband over the last 13 years. The couple's daughter Nancy Leigh was adopted from South Korea by the couple in 2009; Adalaide is an Black 8-year-old girl adopted in the year 2012.
