Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
My child played around inside a playpen, while I was working 12-hour shifts cleaning the floors, as well as removing the wallpaper. Ha! The home was starting to look nice, but there were still many things that needed to be left. It was going to take an enormous amount of effort as well as my favourite brands of furniture furnishings for this house. To keep the budget in check, I started going to estate sales along with my three brothers to search for diamonds in the rough. Our weekly routine that included spending the week of Thursday to Saturday scouring estate and garage sales, buying old and new things. The rest of the week sanding and painting the driveway. The furniture looked like this... which is where I found my love for restoring. Even after our house was furnished I couldn't stop! In the market in town, I rented a small space and sold some pieces. I was able to outgrow the market because I had plenty of pieces that I was able to use. My house was transformed into a space that I hosted open houses, where up to 1,000 people could view the items on the first floor, and then purchase the items. It was here that my business Growing Days was born. My company was flourishing and my family was also expanding. It was like I found the ideal equilibrium between motherhood and starting my new venture. Growing Days just seemed to fit. Nora joined us in 2013 to be our fourth baby. The direction of my business was excellent, however I had to get some down time. I decided to step back and stay at home, with my kids. It was exactly what I needed at that moment. Within a couple of months, my phone started to begin to. I began receiving calls from people asking me for assistance with home improvements as well as interior design. A majority of them were people who visited my home at my open house for furniture. In the following months, I began to take on new clients in my own way. Then I was able to have many clients, and had as a home improvement business. If you'd have said to me that this company of mine would turn into the premise of a tv show for the DIY Network I probably would have thought you were crazy. It's funny to think back to it.
